Coffeeshop Research & Scientific writing programme is a local innovative idea that was co-designed together with I-Katch Technology Ltd in Dar es salaam that aims at harness potentials of young corporate workers (including graduate & PhD students at local and international universities) using DESIGN THINKING approcahes.

It uses the composite idea of MODERN COFFEE BREWING whereby graduate students, resident doctors (those doing Mmed, MSc or MPH degrees) normally come up with a research idea-then driven through the process of RESEARCH/TOOL DESIGNS as well as DATA ANALYSIS & SCIENTIFIC REPORT WRITING process.

At present, it has scaled up to about 120 different course beneficieries from the initial class of 3 Mmed students back in April 2017.

To date, the programme has been able to produce 24 different published original research papers, with almost 100% publication rates from students whose track records started with PROPOSAL DESIGN back in April 2022.  It is led by Mr. Faustine Mayunga (a trustee)
