AISA-pilot programme is the 1st Pan-African research initiative that aims at characterising clinical, biologic, demographic  & public health aspects of ageing process. It is by far the 1st African longitudinal design concept on ageing and geriatric programme specifically tailored for > 65 years of African ancestry.

At present, AISA-pilot programme is in Dar es Salaam, whereby an initial cohort design is being made for a 10-years initial follow-up at Ubungo area in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

It is led by Kelvin Leshabari ( a trustee)
